Dr. Tompkins provides individual psychotherapy to adults with a history of trauma, anxiety, depression, or family/relationship difficulties. Although dealing with trauma directly, her orientation, even in individual psychotherapy, may be described as interpersonal in focus, and problem solving in nature.

Dr. Tompkins has long experience working with families in a variety of distress, from reunification after loss of custody of a child or regrouping after substance abuse or domestic violence to coaching on the management of strong willed children with learning or behavioral difficulties in school.
